Sharaya & Caleb Engagement Shoot
Note from the artist: “ As far as engagement shoots go, this is the one that means the most to me so far (at least until my own engagement 🤞🏼). Sharaya is my older sister and getting the opportunity to be a part of one of her biggest days was an absolute dream come true. This was shot at Barnabas Landing, a retreat center on Keats Island, off the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada, where my family grew up going to for a week each summer. Many in my family have also spent a few extra weeks in the summer volunteering at Barnabas, and Sharaya has worked there on a few occasions. Prior to any discussion about Sharaya and Caleb getting engaged, the young adults in our family already booked spots at Barnabas for their biannual Young Adults Retreat. It has been Sharaya’s dream to either get engaged or married at this beautiful place. Caleb knew this about Sharaya and took advantage of the already planned trip to prepare for their engagement . He invited me into the planning process early (although, I had already been planning this in my imagination, hoping he would choose to pop the question on this retreat). We decided on a proposal at the pier, and after that, the rest of the plan fell into place. I feel incredibly blessed to have played a part in this, not only am I incredibly proud of Sharaya for finally finding her other-half, but I am also incredibly honored to have Caleb joining our family as my new future brother-in-law. This was a photoshoot I am sure all of us will remember for the rest of our lives”.
