Water’s Edge

Note From The Artist: “This collection is one of my absolute favourites, primarily because I most feel at peace when I am by the water, (although, I’m sure with the site being called ashbytheseaside you could have probably guessed that there is some significance there). Water is so nuanced in the sense that for some it brings serenity, while for others, it brings violence, roughness, or even death. We need water to survive, yet water has the capability of chewing through rock and creating chaos, while also creating beauty. Water is not good or bad, it’s just water. I find this beautiful. I personally feel blessed to live on the West Coast, full of amazing beaches, lakes, waterfalls, and ponds where I can be reminded of how much nuance is in something as simple as water”.
